Bo decided racing was not his thing and came straight from the farm to begin his search for a forever home. He has been learning how to relax and enjoy the comforts of a home like soft beds, routines, and all the love he can get. Bo has not quite figured out toys yet. He is a bit shy and slow to warm up to new people. Once he warms up to new people he is a buddy for life. As he gets more comfortable his personality starts to show with tail wags and excitement to participate in walks, meals, going outside, etc. Bo likes car rides. As Bo, coming from the farm, does have a little bit of resource guarding, is correctable, and he is getting better every day under a strong leader. Bo prefers to be very friendly with adults, kids scare him with the noise. Also unexpected new or loud noises can startle him. When on walkies, if he gets scared he immediately wants to go back to the house. He really responds to a calming and reassuring voice from his foster parents. He’s naturally curious, quietly observant, and always ready to lean in for affection. Every day he discovers something new and delightful about life in a home, and he’s blossoming beautifully.
Bo is very calm and happy just being around the resident pack members (greyhounds and lab). He is very good in his crate and sleeps well in it after he nests it to just the right comfort level. It is his safe space. He also likes to lay on hard, cool floors. Overall, he is very much a sweetheart and just wants to be included in your activities, either laying on the floor near you or going out for a walk.
He’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room just to be near you, then curl up contentedly once he knows you’re close. He is very gentle; his sweetness is effortless. Are you willing to give Bo time to move into your heart and home?
