2007 “GREYT” GOLF TOURNAMENT & DINNER 

GPA Houston’s “Greyt” Golf Tournament & Dinner was held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at Southwyck Golf Club in Pearland.  The weather could not have been better (okay, maybe a little cooler). There was a good representation of greyhounds (and their “humans”), and everyone had a greyt time!  And yes, Miss Sweet Pea was back to let everyone know how much she loves golfing! 

The players had a fantastic time and were very pleased with the organization of this year’s tournament.  A big, HUGE thank you needs to go out to Arden and Jeff for steering the event and to Rita and Lisa for their fund-raising efforts. Thanks guys! Also, big thanks go to everyone else involved--the golfers, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and, of course, the entire GPA golf tournament committee.

Can we have a drum roll please.....   As we move towards building our own kennel space we have numerous fund-raising ventures, and this year we are happy to  announce $21,500 (net) from the 2007 Greyt Greyhound Golf Tournament.  This has been added to our Building Fund! We sincerely thank everyone who donated untold hours (and $$) to make this event a tremendous success.   Special mention goes to: Arden and Jeff for steering the event and to Rita and Lisa for their fund-raising efforts.

All the profits collected goes to our building fund with our goal being a new kennel of our own-- for all the greyhounds that come into our care. Over the past several years we have collected $64,000 towards this goal.
