GPA Garden Party   at the Parador

Decision has been made

The hounds have met and voted.  They wanted a party September 14, 2003, at The Parador.  Since we couldn't deny them anything, GPA  moved the August 10th Dog Days of Summer social event at Dogwood to September 14, 2003, at The Parador, a beautiful historic events venue located in the Museum District.  To see more pictures of the new location the pups have selected, go to this website. Grey-Spa

Some of them also told us they want to get spruced up for winter, maybe get some new duds, and have their pictures taken.  So in addition to a great party we will also offer another wonderful Grey Spa (bathing, nail clipping and massage) The basic package  includes bathing, ear cleaning, nail clipping, and teeth brushing for only $20 per dog--the Premier Spa Package includes all of the above plus some special doggie cologne and massage for only $25.00).  You will find some great new merchandise (for pups and people) brought in just for this grand event, and photography opportunities in a beautiful garden setting. 

Be sure to bring the kids, (2-legged and 4-legged variety--greyhounds only, please) We have other activities planned that the greyhounds aren't interested in. There will be opportunities to visit with some experts on hound health and behavior issues, maybe a raffle or two, and lots more.  (It's not ALL about them.)  We're only worried about one thing -- what will they expect next year??!!??

Mark your calendars

So please join us on September 14 at The Parador, 2021 Binz - Houston, TX 77004, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, for some great food and drink (on us), a chance to see old friends and make new ones, introduce your hound-less friends to the world of greyhounds -- and, of course, see the hounds in what they tell us is their appropriate setting.  We'd love to know if you could join us--(We promised the greyhounds the leftovers, so we're trying not to have any, and we all know why!) We had requested that you RSVP and 300 humans and 175 hounds have accepted their invitations!

Additional notes:  We will have a wonderfully varied and large assortment of different items you might want to purchase for your hound -- from coats, to Burp-dog biscuits, to collars, to the brand new cookbook---oh this is primarily for you!

The party was a  "greyt" success! 105 greyhounds were given a GreySpa Treatment, and many of them posed for pictures, and many were lucky ones to get some Burpdog Biscuits, new coats, collars, leads or any number of necessary items. Over 300 humans came along with their 170plus greyhounds to enjoy a day of food, friends and good company.  We thank everyone involved for their dedication and unselfish support for their local GPA group.  Please read our list of volunteers, and organizations, and friends of GPA that helped to make this event so successful!.......
