Permanent fosters

Throughout the year, we need medical foster homes for dogs which cannot yet be in the kennel due to medical reasons. Nursing these dogs back to health so that they can join their fellow kennel hounds can be a very rewarding experience for both you and the dog. If you can help now or in the future with either permanent or medical fosters, please email us so we can continue to help all hounds in need.

Our permanent fosters are hounds which come into our adoption program requiring lifetime medical care due to their age, behavioral issues, or infirmities. As a consequence, they are more difficult to place in adoptive homes. Thanks to GPAH's wonderful foster parents, all of our permanent fosters are in loving and responsible homes where they thrive, but they remain under the medical care and supervision of GPA Houston.

If you would like to make a donation to help offset the cost of the veterinary care these wonderful dogs require, please click on the "Donate" button below.

Thank you so much for your support.
